Patient Consultant

The Patient Consultant (PC) is responsible for guiding patients through the options available to them for their life and their possible pregnancy. Using the L.O.V.E. Approach method (Listen & Learn, Open Options, Vision & Values, and Extend & Empower), Charis provides consultations to patients who believe they are pregnant and are exploring their options of abortion, parenting, and adoption in order for the patient to make an informed decision about their pregnancy. Charis provides a loving, non-judgmental atmosphere in order to build trust with each woman and be there for her during her time of crisis. PCs are experts in relevant literature and community referrals to support each unique patient. They continue to follow up after in-person appointments to provide friendship, support and guidance throughout pregnancy, for as long as the patient is in our Intervention stage of care. The PC uses the time during appointments to also assess spiritual needs and plant the seeds of the Gospel whenever possible.
